Travis Hamm

Executive Director

My Story

While a student at Northwest Missouri State University, I became involved with the Baptist Student Union ministry.  It was there that God began igniting a passion for bringing the gospel to those on my campus, and I quickly took on student leadership positions within the ministry. As I approached graduation my Campus Missionary encouraged me to consider becoming a Campus Missionary. That conversation led me to pray that God would open doors for me to continue ministering to college students.

After graduating I continued my education by pursuing a Masters of Divinity (Collegiate Ministry Concentration) at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  It was during this time that God connected me with a group of believers seeking to minister at the University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC).  Together we formed a core team that launched Impact Ministries at UMKC in the fall of 2007. For over 10 years I had the joy of leading this ministry and watched God transform the hearts of students.

In 2018 God began lifting my eyes to see beyond UMKC to the other colleges in the Kansas City area where over 70,000 students attend.  A vision emerged of a network of individuals, churches, and ministries working together to bring the gospel to these schools.  Collegiate Impact was created.

My Role

As Executive Director of Collegiate Impact, my role is to provide ongoing direction for the ministry, lead Collegiate Impact staff, catalyze ministry on our college campuses, and increase our team of ministry partners.

Support Travis by giving. Any contribution is made with the understanding that Collegiate Impact has complete control and administration over the use of the donated funds and gifts received. Anything above the specific need will be used in similar areas where the need is greatest.

Travis would love to connect with you as he seeks to reach the students in the greater Kansas City area. If you are interested in joining his prayer team, receiving his newsletters, or partnering in any other way, feel free to reach out to him.
